Requisition Number 18-0014 Post Date 1/31/2018 Title Data Center Infrastructure Engineer Employment Type Full Time City Marlborough/Watertown State MA Description The dobleDatacenter is a vital part of Doble's Service offerings hosting dobleARMS, DTAWeb and Field Force Automation solutions. As a member of the Datacenter team, the candidate will work closely with the Datacenter team and Engineering team to maintain, enable and bring up new service offerings for customers. The dobleDatacenter with its hosted Solutions are revenue generating. The candidate must have a customer first, high quality and reliability focus with regard to the Services offered by the dobleDatacenter.

* Research, develop & deploy numerous technologies and network topologies in order to evolve and scale our data centers.
* Design, engineer and implement Datacenter networks across multiple geographic locations.
* Creation of detailed documentation of existing and proposed architectures
* Provide regular communication of network outages and availability
* Data center operations and critical facilities management
* Project scoping and management
* Network Monitoring, security & performance optimization
* Administration of the Datacenter servers and Infrastructure
* Create backup policies, alerts, and archive systems.
* Design, implement, and test disaster recovery plans
* Perform other duties as assigned


Bachelor's Degree Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience; Master's Degree a plus.


* 3+ years overall system administration experience.
* Operating Systems including: Windows 2003, 08, 12, Server and Windows Workstation 7 and 8, DOS and Linux
* Storage integration of supported platforms
* Microsoft Active Directory
* Management of backend servers: SQL, Email, Webservers and Collaboration systems
* MS Office Suite
* IPSEC, BGP, SFTP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, IPX, NetBios, NetBEUI, WSUS, Protocol Stacks for integration
* Backup systems and DR planning
* Virtualization: VMWare ESX, ESXi server.
* SSL and security appliances
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Must thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment.
* Capable of multitasking between projects and departments.
* Must be able to assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations to management
* Must have the experience or ability to work through complex technical issues in a timely manner.
* Ability to organize and prioritize tasks resulting in consistent productivity.
* A self-starter able to work independently or as part of a team and comfortable interfacing with both upstream and downstream customers.
* Must have excellent technical writing and oral communications skills and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
